The Red Canyon is one of the most beautiful hiking trails near Eilat. It is about 20 minutes by car outside the city. The canyon is naturally formed and with its red rocks a spectacular photo spot.
The way to the canyon is very well signposted. If you like you can choose between different hiking trails. The actual canyon gorge is equipped with ladders and ropes so that everyone who is reasonably good on foot can manage the route.
At sunrise and sunset the canyon is bathed in a beautiful light. Since the Red Canyon is a very popular destination, it is best to arrive a little earlier in the morning, because then you can still visit the canyon relatively alone.
